Top Gun: MaverickIts producer was asked about another sequel to the popular movie. Radio Times He met with Jerry Bruckheimer to discuss how raucous the reaction was to Tom Cruise’s project. love people Better, as evidenced by the predatory appetite for the jet-set adventure at the box office. It was the biggest movie of the year by a long time lag. The only question that remains dissident is how high it is. Bruckheimer is aware of the perception surrounding the film and feels that the issue of the sequel is nature. However, it tells the outlet that there is no way to know right now. It took 30 years to get a working copy of a Better sequel. So speeding it up in a year or two isn’t going to serve the story or the franchise as a whole. Cruise must be busy filming other projects, but he’ll likely be able to squeeze in another trip into this universe. It’s all guesswork at this point. But, there is definite fan interest, so maybe that will move things along. Check out his response below.

“I can’t tell you what the future will bring,” Bruckheimer said musingly. If you asked me in 1986, ‘Do you think you’ll have a sequel in a few years? “I was going to say maybe. But it took 30 years to do it!”

“Well, we’ve worked for years to try and manufacture the second—it took a long time,” he recalls. Finally, Joe [Kosinski, director] and Tom [Cruise] and McQ [writer and producer Christopher McQuarrie] We got it together and ended up with a movie that we love and our audience loves.”

In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, the producer nodded toward the realistic plane footage when asked why people love the movie so much. Maybe that’s not all, but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

“It’s always the characters, the themes, and the story,” Bruckheimer began. “That’s it; it’s about the emotion, it’s about bringing back the Snowman, it’s about seeing a real movie,” he added. “You’re in F-18 just like these actors. They’ve been training for three months to be able to get into F-18…You can see the struggles of what they’re doing, what they’re going through that’s all real, it’s not made up.”
